1. Scope of this privacy notice

Redefinio values your privacy, therefore we have developed an easy to understand Privacy policy that covers how Redefinio collects and use your information.

We process your personal information on the legal basis of consent given when you create an account and agree to this Privacy policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the details at the Section 5 of this Privacy policy.

Depending on your relationship with Redefinio your personal information may include personal or technical information, transaction records, payment details, contact and sensitive information (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Data”). You can understand the scope of Data we collect and how Redefinio treats each type of Data in the sections below.

Keep in mind that we never share your Data you provide with third parties except as set forth in the Redefinio’s Privacy policy.

You always remain in control of your Data. You may edit or erase your Data from the Website at any time or ask us to update or erase information Redefinio stores, as long as this erasure is not in conflict with any legal obligations Redefinio may hold to national and international regulators.

2. Data we collect and how we may use it

2.1. Personal information. This information you give us may include your e-mail address and encrypted password (hereinafter – the “Account information”), education records and other information you may include in your resume (hereinafter - “Resume information”). At any time, you may log in the Website and change Personal information, or remove it.

Account information is used to create your account and identify you when logging into the Website. Redefinio does not store any of your Resume information – it is collected solely for the purpose of generating your resume.

If you choose to register by using a third-party account (LinkedIn, Facebook, Google), you will be required to share with us your e-mail address. We will not receive any of other your data from third parties unless you expressly choose to share it with us. Your password for those third-party services is never shared with us.

If you deactivate your account, all Personal information including your e-mail address is deleted automatically as well. Technical information - we use a third party tracking-utility partner (i. e. Google Analytics) to gather certain information automatically and store it in log files even if you are not logged in to the Website as a member.

2.2. Technical information is used primarily in aggregate for statistical purposes. It helps us understand which parts of our Services are of greatest interest and also provides information used to improve Redefinio and develop exciting new features on the Website.

We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

Transaction records and payment details - if you use Premium membership account, you will need to provide payment details (credit/debit card).

We only use and store your transaction information (i.e. unique payment ID) and a full history of your payments to log payments submitted as part of your Premium membership. We store such information even if you cancel your Premium membership or deactivate your account. This is part of our legal obligation to keep transaction records for local or international authorities. We also store your IP address together with your invoice data, so that we fulfill our tax obligations accordingly.

We never receive or store any of your payment details – they are processed and kept encrypted with Braintree, a Level 1 PCI compliant third-party. For further information you may refer to Braintree’s privacy policy.

2.3. Contact information - if you contact us with a question, through any of our communication channels (like Messenger) or e-mail, we will receive and store your contact details, like e-mail address, name or social media account link as well as the information you provide in your query.

We use your contact information to communicate regarding your query, in the case of support request. In the case of support queries, we might need additional information to help you with your request – this will depend on the nature of your query and issue at hand. We will aim to ask for the minimal additional information needed to solve your request. If you have an account on the Website, we will continue sending high priority information about your account, billing status, changes to our terms of Service and other important topics. This information is an integral part of providing our Services for you. If you deactivate your account, you will stop receiving further communication from us.

For all types of communication information, you can request that we delete your data and we’ll do so within one month.

All communication history through our official communication channels between you and our team is kept for future reference, even if your account is deactivated. This is done in order to be able to answer complaints or any future questions you might have.

2.4. Sensitive information - we do not knowingly collect any sensitive data about you. Sensitive data refers to data that includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data. We do not collect any information about criminal convictions and offenses. If you include such information as part of the content of your resume, Redefinio cannot be held liable for what happens to it after you have shared it.

2.5. Cookies

Essential cookies - These cookies are essential for the operation of our Website. They include, for example, cookies that enable storage of your information filled during the browsing session. Without these cookies operation of the Website would be impossible, therefore this category of cookies cannot be disabled.

Analytics / performance cookies - These cookies show us if the visitor has visited our website before. The analytic cookies allow us to recognise and count the number of users of our Website and see how users navigate through our Website. We also use cookies to understand user preferences and improve Website features. We mainly use Google Analytics cookies to collect information about how visitors use our website.

3. Safety of your Data

Redefinio takes reasonable precautions, technical and organizational security measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk, follows industry best practices in order to protect your Data from any unauthorized or unlawful breach of security that leads to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of or access to Data and to preserve the security and confidentiality of the data. However, these measures do not guarantee that your information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed by breach of such precautions. By using our Services, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.

If you share your resume on social media or share your resume online on a unique URL or by e-mail, Redefinio is neither responsible nor liable for where your resume content appears after you have made it public. Therefore, we would suggest being careful where and with whom you are sharing your documents or other professional information created/shared with Redefinio.

4. Disclosure of your Data to third parties

We may share and disclose your Personal Information to the following types of third parties for the purposes described in this Privacy policy.

4.1. Our service providers - sometimes, we share your information with our third-party service providers, who help us provide and support our Services and other business-related functions.

4.2. Any competent law enforcement body, regulatory body, government agency, court or other third party - Redefinio is statutorily obliged to provide personal and/or usage data to investigative, criminal prosecution or supervisory authorities if and insofar as required for the avoidance of risk to the public and for the prosecution of criminal acts.

4.3. A potential buyer (and its agents and advisors) - in the case of a sale, merger, consolidation, liquidation, reorganization, or acquisition. In that event, any acquirer will be subject to our obligations under this Privacy policy, including your rights to access and choice. We will notify you of the change either by sending you an email or posting a notice on the Website.

4.4. Any other person with your consent - In all other cases your Data will be passed on to third parties only where you have granted permission or have yourself given third parties access to your Data.

We are the controller responsible for the Data we collect and process.
